Background

Twenty years in the Navy, most of it leading combat-dive teams on high-risk operations where a plan either works or people get hurt. The work ran to real scale: teams of 20 and up, a 180-person task force, millions of dollars in resources, run without a single incident. The job never changed. Say the intent plainly. Define what done looks like. Account for every resource. Verify the result instead of hoping for it.

Before consulting, that same approach ran a portfolio of rental properties end to end, from the books to the contractors to staying compliant. Different work, one throughline: figure out what actually moves the thing, then own it from the decision through the result.

How the work gets done

That discipline is how the firm works now, and it is why one operator ships at a pace shops quote in weeks. The method is the same one that ran the operations: clear intent, defined success, tight iterations, every result checked. The tools are modern. The way they are run is not new.

The bias is toward verification, auditability, and shipping small, correcting fast instead of planning in the dark for months. And when the right call for a client is something Jensen Operations would not do, the firm says so. The plan is built for the business, not for the engagement.
